  • Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
  • Apple - 4 pieces
  • Wheat Flour - 2.1 oz
  • Sugar - 5.3 oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Milk - 3 fl oz
  • Baking Powder - 0.5 oz
  • Clarified Butter - 3 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder.

Step 2

Lightly beat 2 eggs with a fork and pour them into the flour and sugar mixture. Add milk and stir. Pour in vegetable oil and beat well.

Step 3

Start peeling the apples. Remove the skin and seeds. Slice them thinly; this is essential for achieving the desired texture of the dough.

Step 4

Place the apples into the dough. The dough should almost 'absorb' into the apples and become unnoticeable.

Step 5

Grease the baking dish with oil, pour the dough into it. Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes at 200°C.

Step 6

Meanwhile, prepare the future crust: whip the egg with sugar until white and frothy. Add melted butter and whip again.

Step 7

Pour this mixture over the still hot pie.

Step 8

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar on top. (Optionally, sprinkle with almond slices). Return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes at 200°C until golden brown.
