Ingredients

  • Butter - 30 oz
  • Almond - 14.1 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 22.9 oz
  • Sugar - 31.4 oz
  • Apple - 4 lbs
  • Cinnamon - 0.4 oz
  • Vanilla Ice Cream - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Peel the apples and remove the cores, then cut them into large cubes. Slice a couple of apples and set aside; they will be needed at the end.

Step 2

Place them in a pot, add 200 grams of butter, 240 grams of sugar, and cinnamon.

Step 3

Simmer until al dente.

Step 4

Strain through a sieve to remove excess liquid and let cool.

Step 5

Prepare the dough. In a mixing bowl, combine 600 grams of butter, 650 grams of sugar, and flour.

Step 6

Spread the dough evenly on parchment paper. Place in the freezer for 10 minutes to firm up.

Step 7

Remove from the freezer and bake at 347°F for 10–15 minutes.

Step 8

Layer the cooled apples in the pie base, then top with the apple slices.

Step 9

Melt 50 grams of butter and drizzle it over the pie, then lightly sprinkle with sugar.

Step 10

Bake for 15–25 minutes at 347°F.

Step 11

Place a piece of warm pie on a plate and garnish with a scoop of ice cream.
