Description
The pie is tastier when served chilled!
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 1 glass
- Sugar - 1 glass
- Semolina - 1 glass
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 tablespoon
- Apple - 1½ kg
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the flour, sugar, semolina, and baking soda.
Step 2
We wash the apples, peel them, and grate them using a fine grater.
Step 3
Grease a deep baking dish with oil.
Step 4
And now the most interesting part begins! Layer the prepared mixtures: 1st layer - dry mixture, 2nd layer - grated apples, and so on (I usually end up with about 3 layers of apples and, accordingly, 4 layers of dry ingredients). The top layer should consist of flour, sugar, and semolina!
Step 5
We level everything out and grate frozen(!) butter on top (I sometimes use the Pyshechka baking margarine).
Step 6
Place in the oven for about 1 hour at 150–392°F.
Step 7
Check for doneness using a toothpick; the pie should not be wet!
Step 8
Take it out, flip it onto a plate, and wait for it to cool completely.
