Description
When choosing apples, it is better to use the 'Antonovka' variety. You can drizzle with honey when serving.
Ingredients
- Apple - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 2.5 oz
- Nuts - 5.3 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Milk - 2 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 3.5 oz
- Dry yeast - 0.1 oz
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
- Butter - 0.7 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the apples and remove the cores.
Step 2
Slice into rings, but not too thick, as the apple needs to cook through. You can sprinkle with lemon juice, but this is optional.
Step 3
Whisk the egg until fluffy. Pour a small amount of warm water over the yeast and let it sit for 10–15 minutes.
Step 4
Add flour, milk, and 10 grams of sugar to the egg.
Step 5
Melt the butter over low heat.
Step 6
Pour the melted butter into the egg mixture and mix well.
Step 7
Add the yeast and knead until smooth. Let the dough rise for 10 minutes.
Step 8
Chop the nuts and add the remaining sugar.
Step 9
Coat the apple rings on both sides in the nut-sugar mixture.
Step 10
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Dip the rings in the batter so that it covers the entire surface of the apple, and place them in the pan.
Step 11
Fry until golden brown, flip, and fry until cooked through.
Step 12
Place the finished rings on paper towels to drain excess oil. They taste best when hot.
