I really enjoy these scones warm with tangerine jam)))

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 7.9 oz
  • Milk - 5 fl oz
  • Sugar - 2.8 oz
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Baking Powder - 1½ teaspoons
  • Butter - 1.9 oz
  • Apple - 1 piece
  • Citrus Zest Mix - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Mix the flour with the baking powder and salt.

Step 2

Combine the cold butter with the flour until crumbly.

Step 3

Add the sugar and milk. Quickly knead the dough.

Step 4

Add the apples (finely chopped) and lemon zest.

Step 5

On a baking sheet (greased), place the dough in small shaped scones. Brush ONLY the tops with milk (to help them rise).

Step 6

Bake at 428°F (depending on the oven) for 15 minutes. Serve warm with jam.
