Apple Slices in Caramel with Nuts

Ingredients

  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece
  • Wheat Flour - 3.5 oz
  • Milk - 3 fl oz
  • Walnuts - 5.3 oz
  • Brown Sugar - 10.6 oz
  • Powdered Sugar - 0.7 oz
  • Green Banana Syrup - 2 tablespoons
  • Antonovka apples - 2 pieces
  • Vanilla Ice Cream - 3.5 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Cut the apples into thin slices, removing the core beforehand.

Step 2

Batter: mix the egg and milk, add powdered sugar and flour. Mix well. You can add syrup to the batter to taste; I used berry syrup.

Step 3

Dip the apple slices in the batter and fry in vegetable oil for about 2–3 minutes on each side. It’s best to place the slices on paper to absorb the oil. Let cool.

Step 4

Melt the sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly, add a little water — making caramel. Once the sugar is completely dissolved, let it cool slightly.

Step 5

Each apple slice should be dipped in caramel and placed on a plate. Mix some of the caramel with the walnuts.

Step 6

The slices are served warm, with nuts and ice cream. You can add berries to taste.
