- Baking Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Cinnamon - 1 tablespoon
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 tablespoon
- Muscovado Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Chinese Five Spice - ¼ spoons
- Applesauce - 4.6 oz
- Calvados - 1 tablespoon
- Apple - 1 piece
- Kefir - 4 fl oz
- Citrus Zest Mix - 1 piece
- Philadelphia Cheese - 7.9 oz
- Vanilla extract - 1 tablespoon
- Powdered Sugar - 4.1 oz
- Butter - 2.8 oz
- Ground Cinnamon - ¾ spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices.
Step 2
In a saucepan, melt 80 grams of butter and dissolve the muscovado sugar in it. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Step 3
Stir the eggs into the warm mixture. Add the apple puree, kefir, zest, Calvados, and vanilla extract.
Step 4
Fold in the flour mixture.
Step 5
Cut the apple into small cubes and fold them into the batter.
Step 6
Place the dough into the molds and bake at 175°C (347°F) for about 18 minutes. Let cool.
Step 7
Place the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and ground cinnamon in a bowl and get your mixer ready. Start on a low speed to blend the mixture until smooth, then increase the speed and lightly whip the cream.
Step 8
Use a piping bag to pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes.
