Description
Raspberry sauce is just one of many topping options; you can use any jam, condensed milk, or whatever you have in your fridge.
Ingredients
- Butter - 1.1 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 11.6 oz
- Milk - 5 fl oz
- Baking Powder - 0.4 oz
- Paradise apples - 3 pieces
- Brown Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Vanilla salt - 1.1 oz
- Frozen Raspberries - 5.3 oz
- 10% cream - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the waffles: peel the apples, cut them in half, remove the seeds, and slice them into thin strips about 2–3 mm thick.
Step 2
Melt the butter or margarine.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, beat 2 eggs and 2 yolks together with 50 grams of brown sugar and a packet of vanilla sugar.
Step 4
Carefully add the flour, baking powder, melted butter, and milk to the egg mixture, and mix well.
Step 5
Add the apples to the batter and mix again thoroughly. The batter should have the consistency of very thick sour cream.
Step 6
Whip the 2 egg whites with a pinch of salt until frothy and gently fold the foam into the batter. This will give the batter airiness.
Step 7
Bake in a preheated waffle maker, previously greased with vegetable oil.
Step 8
Place the finished waffles on a rack. As they cool on the rack, the waffles will retain their slightly crispy crust.
Step 9
Prepare the raspberry sauce. Mix the raspberries with the remaining sugar and heat in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves. Then blend until smooth and strain the sauce through a fine sieve to remove the seeds.
Step 10
Divide the resulting mixture into two equal parts. In one part, add the cream to give the sauce a softer pink color and a slightly creamy flavor. The remaining sauce can be stored in the refrigerator or frozen.
Step 11
Waffles can be enjoyed hot, slightly warm, or completely cooled. You can decorate the plate with two sauces: rich raspberry and delicate creamy, or you can dip the waffles in the sauce so that one side is completely covered (for example, using a fork).
