Ingredients

  • Apple - 14.1 oz
  • Rum - 1 fl oz
  • Sugar - 0.9 oz
  • Milk - 8 fl oz
  • Wheat Flour - 5.6 oz
  • Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
  • Fat - 1 cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Peel the washed apples, remove the core, slice them into 1 cm thick rings, place them in a bowl, sprinkle with sugar, pour with rum, and let sit for half an hour.

Step 2

Add flour to the bowl, make a well in the center, pour in milk or water and vegetable oil, add the yolks and salt. Mix well to avoid lumps, and let the dough rest for an hour. Before frying, fold in the whipped egg whites.

Step 3

Dip the apple slices in the batter, which should not be too runny, and fry in a large amount of hot fat. When the apples are golden brown on both sides, sprinkle with powdered sugar and vanilla and serve.
