Ingredients
- Dried Apricots - 6.2 oz
- Apple - 6.2 oz
- Pecan - 6.2 oz
- Baking Powder - 1½ teaspoons
- Ground Cinnamon - 2½ teaspoons
- Unbleached flour crackers - 3.9 oz
- Butter - 3.9 oz
- Brown Sugar - 6.2 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Milk - 4 tablespoons
- Demerara Sugar - 2.1 oz
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Roast the nuts in the oven for 8 minutes. Let cool and chop slightly with a knife.
Step 2
Cut the dried apricots in half and chop the apples with the skin into pieces.
Step 3
In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, butter, brown sugar, beaten eggs, and 3 tablespoons of milk. Mix everything with a mixer. Then add the dried apricots, apples, and nuts.
Step 4
Pour in the remaining milk and knead the dough (the dough should easily fall off the spoon).
Step 5
Place the dough in a greased baking dish, smooth it out, and sprinkle with crushed demerara sugar and the remaining cinnamon.
Step 6
Bake at 356°F for 1.5 hours.
