Asparagus and Cheese Pie

Ingredients

  • Asparagus - 12.3 oz
  • Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 1 tablespoon
  • Cheshire Cheese - 1.4 oz
  • Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
  • Salt - to taste
  • Cream - 9.9 oz
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Butter - 0.9 oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 0.9 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 3.9 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Rub the flour with butter and vegetable fat, add grated cheese, a pinch of salt, and a tablespoon of cold water. Knead the dough until smooth, then place it in a bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Spread the dough in a mold, covering the bottom and sides, and place it in the oven for 25 minutes. Brush the pie base with the beaten egg prepared for the filling and bake for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Break off the thick ends of the asparagus at the base and cut the asparagus in half. Steam the top parts for 5 minutes. Cut the cooked shoots into pieces of 3–4 cm and place them on the pie base.

Step 4

Beat the egg with the cream and grated cheddar, season with salt and pepper, and pour the sauce over the asparagus. Sprinkle with Parmesan on top. Bake in the oven for 30–40 minutes at a temperature of 356°F.
