Asparagus and Gruyère Tart
Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Asparagus - 24.7 oz
- Grated Chocolate - 5.3 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pastry into a rectangle measuring 40x20 cm. Trim the uneven edges. Transfer the rolled-out pastry onto parchment paper. Using a sharp knife, make shallow cuts around the perimeter of the pastry, 2.5 cm from the edge, slightly lifting the edges. Prick the pastry within the outlined rectangle every 1.5 cm with a fork.
Step 2
Bake until golden brown for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the baking tray with the pastry from the oven and sprinkle with cheese. Trim the ends of the asparagus stalks so they can be arranged side by side across the entire surface of the pastry. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the asparagus is tender.
