- Chicken Egg - 4 pieces
- Canned water chestnuts - 21.2 oz
- Chocolate shavings - 3.5 oz
- Powdered Sugar - to taste

Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Line the bottom of a 25 cm round springform pan with parchment paper and generously grease the sides with butter.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine the sifted wheat flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter with sugar and salt until smooth.
Step 4
Crack the eggs in one at a time, beating each one until fluffy.
Step 5
Add the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
Step 6
Then add the cherries and chocolate shavings, and mix well.
Step 7
Pour the batter into the mold and smooth it out.
Step 8
Bake for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool in the pan.
Step 9
Carefully remove the pie from the mold, dust with powdered sugar, decorate with fresh currants, and serve.
