Description
I had some very juicy tomatoes, so there was more liquid than I had planned. It didn't affect the taste at all, but from an aesthetic point of view, there could have been a bit less, so my advice is to drain the excess liquid! As for the quantity of ingredients, it's simple—just use as much as fits in your dish!
Ingredients
- Bacon - 10 oz
- Melted Cheese - 10 oz
- Tomatoes - 5 pieces
- Basil - 1 bunch
- Puff Pastry - 10 oz
- Italian herb blend - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Roll out the dough and place it in the bottom of the baking dish, creating a slight edge.
Step 2
Cut the bacon into pieces and lay them out side by side (I lined the entire dish tightly with bacon — using the whole pack of bacon).
Step 3
Chop the basil and arrange it in a thick layer as well.
Step 4
Layer the slices of tomato and mozzarella (I used 4-5 tomatoes and 2.5 packs of mozzarella), then sprinkle with Italian herbs (or simply season with pepper).
Step 5
Place it in the oven and bake at 355°F for about 30 minutes. Then, check the condition of the dough — the main thing is to make sure it is cooked through.
