Ingredients
- Apple - 4 pieces
- Brown Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Oat flakes - 3.5 oz
- Light raisins - 1.8 oz
- Butter - 0.7 oz
- Cinnamon - 0.1 oz
- Nutmeg - 0.1 oz
- Cloves - 4 pieces
- Water - 8 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 347°F.
Step 2
Cut off the top of the apple to create a 'lid'.
Step 3
Core the apples and scoop out about half of the flesh.
Step 4
Mix the brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and raisins. Evenly stuff the apples with this mixture. Replace the 'lid' and place a piece of butter on top.
Step 5
Arrange the apples on a baking sheet, pour in the water, cover with foil, and place on the bottom rack of the oven. Bake for 20 minutes and then remove the foil.
Step 6
Continue baking until the apples are completely soft and the sugar has turned into syrup — another 20-30 minutes.
