Baked Apples with Mexican Chocolate
Ingredients
- Apple - 2 pieces
- Marshmallow - 5 pieces
- Chocolate - 1.1 oz
- Butter - 2.1 oz
- Water - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F.
Step 2
Cut the apples in half lengthwise. Use a melon baller to carefully scoop out the core.
Step 3
Cut 4 marshmallows in half lengthwise and cut one into 4 pieces. Break the chocolate into small pieces.
Step 4
Place a quarter of a marshmallow in each hollow of the apples and distribute the chocolate. Cut half of the butter into small pieces and place it on top of the chocolate, pressing down slightly.
Step 5
Pour water into a baking dish and add the remaining butter. Place the apples in the dish and bake for 20–30 minutes.
Step 6
Preheat the grill in the oven.
Step 7
Top each apple with 2 halves of marshmallow and place under the grill until golden brown.
Step 8
Serve drizzled with juice.
