Ingredients
- Butter - 0.4 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Brown Sugar - 3.2 oz
- Milk - 17 fl oz
- Cream - 4 fl oz
- Vanilla extract - 1½ teaspoons
- Nutmeg - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 320°F. Lightly grease four 250 ml ramekins or one 1.5 l dish with butter.
Step 2
Whisk the eggs and sugar in a bowl. Pour the milk and cream into a saucepan and heat over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until warm. Then add to the egg mixture along with the vanilla. Pour into the ramekins and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Step 3
Place the ramekins in a deep baking tray and fill with hot water halfway. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 4
Remove the ramekins from the tray and let them sit for 10 minutes.
