Ingredients
- Onion - 1 head
- French Baguette - 4 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 5 tablespoons
- Cheese Spread - 2.5 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Lemon-Pepper Mix - to taste
- Olive Oil - 1 teaspoon
- Tilapia - 2 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thaw two small pieces of tilapia fillet, rinse and pat dry, then cut each in half. This gives us 4 pieces of fillet. Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Cut 4 slices of baguette into thick rounds.
Step 3
In a preheated skillet, pour in olive oil and sauté the sliced onion for a few minutes until translucent, but not fully cooked.
Step 4
Mix mayonnaise, grated cheese, and the slightly cooled onion. Reserve about a tablespoon of mayonnaise for later use.
Step 5
Lightly spread the remaining mayonnaise on the bread slices, place a piece of fish on each slice, then top with the cheese mixture and spread it slightly over the fish.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 374°F for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
