  • Grapefruits - 2 pieces
  • Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Brown Sugar - 6 tablespoons
  • Ground Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Mint - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 482 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Wash the grapefruit, cut it in half, and slice a small piece off the bottom for stability.

Step 3

Run a knife along the white membranes of the grapefruit and around the skin, being careful not to dislodge the fruit. This helps to release the juice and makes it easier to scoop out later.

Step 4

Mix the vegetable oil with the sugar and cinnamon, and coat the grapefruit halves with the mixture.

Step 5

Bake in the oven for 7-15 minutes, until the sugar caramelizes. Cool for about 5 minutes, garnish with mint, and serve.
