Ingredients

  • Pumpkin - 1 piece
  • Salt - 3 fl oz
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 1 qt

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Extract the seeds from the raw pumpkin and rinse them in cold water, separating them from the fibers.

Step 2

Boil 1 liter of water.

Step 3

Remove the pot from the heat, add salt to the boiling water, and place the pumpkin seeds in for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Drain the water from the pot and drizzle the pumpkin seeds with melted butter.

Step 5

Stir the seeds while adding salt.

Step 6

Spread the seeds on a baking sheet or large skillet and bake in an oven preheated to 347°F for 30 minutes.

Step 7

Store the seeds at room temperature in an airtight container.
