Description
You will need 2 loaf pans measuring 21x11x6 cm or 1 pan measuring 23x12x8 cm. Place the oven rack lower so that the top of the cake is in the center. Ripe, soft, and darkening bananas are preferable. Butter can be replaced with margarine, but the fat content of both should be at least 65%. You can make a marble cake by pouring about half of the batter into the pan first and adding cocoa powder to the second half.
Ingredients
- Sugar - 8.8 oz
- Butter - 4.2 oz
- Large eggs - 2 pieces
- Bananas - 3 pieces
- Kefir - 4 fl oz
- Vanillin - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 11.1 oz
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grease only the bottom of the pan with vegetable oil. Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Mix sugar and butter/margarine in a large bowl. Add eggs and mix well. Add kefir, bananas, and vanillin, stirring until smooth. Add flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing again until a homogeneous mass is formed (I gradually add the flour and mix the salt and soda with the flour beforehand). It's convenient to do this with a mixer.
Step 3
Bake 2 loaves for about 60 minutes, and one loaf for 1 hour 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in the pans.
Step 4
Remove the bread from the pans and place it top side up on a wire rack. Cool for about 2 hours.
