Description
A baking dish with a removable bottom is great for a beautiful presentation of the pie, but during baking, caramel may leak out.
Ingredients
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Sour Cream - 5 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Bananas - 5 pieces
- Butter - 5.3 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix 100 g of sugar and the egg. Then add the sour cream and 100 g of butter (or margarine). Next, add the flour and baking powder. Knead the dough and let it rest for 30–60 minutes.
Step 2
Now you can start making the caramel. Melt 50 g of butter (or margarine) in a baking dish (preferably the same one you will use to bake the pie). Add 50 g of sugar and keep it on the heat until liquid caramel forms. The heat should be high to avoid sugar lumps. Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise. Place them on the caramel with the cut side down.
Step 3
Roll out the dough and place it over the bananas. Put it in the oven preheated to 356°F for 30–40 minutes. If necessary, increase the heat or baking time.
Step 4
Unclasp the baking dish and flip the pie over.
