Banana Custard Dessert

Ingredients

  • Bananas - 3 pieces
  • Milk - 17 fl oz
  • Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 2.1 oz
  • Potato protein - 2 teaspoons
  • Vanillin - to taste
  • Ladyfinger Cookies - 25 pieces
  • Egg white - 2 pieces
  • Coconut flakes - 2 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

In a bowl, mix: flour, sugar, starch, and vanillin.

Step 2

Heat the milk.

Step 3

Whisk the yolks, add a little milk, and mix into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir thoroughly. Add the resulting mixture to a saucepan with warm milk.

Step 4

Over low heat, continuously stir until the mixture thickens.

Step 5

Peel 2 bananas and blend them into a puree. Add to the custard, mixing thoroughly. Remove the saucepan from the heat, cover with a lid, and set aside.

Step 6

Slice the remaining banana into rounds.

Step 7

In the bottom of a dessert dish, layer the ladyfinger cookies (placing them tightly together). Top with a layer of sliced banana. Pour the banana custard over the top.

Step 8

Repeat these steps in the same order, ensuring the final layer is custard. Cover the resulting dessert with plastic wrap. Allow to cool, then refrigerate overnight (to infuse). Before serving, sprinkle with coconut flakes.
