Banana Meringue Pie

Ingredients

  • Butter - 3.5 oz
  • Egg white - 1 piece
  • Bananas - 0.2 oz
  • Baking Powder - 0 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 10 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Carefully crack the egg, separating the whites from the yolks. Place the whites in the refrigerator.

Step 2

Beat the softened butter with the yolks and five tablespoons of sugar.

Step 3

Mix the flour with the baking powder, add to the whipped mixture, and knead the dough. Place the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Step 4

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out to a thickness of 1 cm.

Step 5

Peel the bananas and slice them. Arrange the bananas on top of the dough.

Step 6

Beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over the bananas.

Step 7

Place the pie in an oven preheated to 320°F. Bake for 40–50 minutes.

Step 8

Serve cold with milk or ice cream.
