- Raw cane sugar - 7.4 oz
- Water - 8 fl oz
- Bananas - 2 pieces
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Brown Sugar - 5.8 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 5 fl oz
- Vinegar essence - 0 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 3.5 oz
- Self-rising flour - 1.8 oz
- Spices - 0.4 oz
- Banana puree - 8.8 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 0.2 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Grease a round pie dish with oil and line it with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a saucepan, combine the cane sugar and water. Place over medium heat, do not let it boil, and stir constantly until the sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes without stirring until the caramel turns golden. Pour into the prepared dish and arrange thinly sliced bananas on top.
Step 3
Mix the eggs, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Add the sifted dry ingredients and banana puree. Mix well, pour into the dish, and bake for 40 minutes.
Step 4
Leave the pie in the dish for 5 minutes, then invert onto a plate. Serve the pie warm with whipped cream.
