Description

Banana Walnut Cake

Ingredients

  • Butter - 3.5 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 1½ cups
  • Brown Sugar - 1 cup
  • Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
  • Vanilla salt - 1 tablespoon
  • Baking Powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Bananas - 2 pieces
  • Walnuts - 4.6 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Mix the slightly softened butter with the cup of sugar, then add the vanilla sugar.

Step 2

Add the 2 eggs and beat everything together (not too much, just enough to combine and achieve a light, uniform consistency).

Step 3

Add the baking powder. Slice the bananas directly into the batter and mix everything together again gently.

Step 4

Add the flour. The batter should have the consistency of thick liquid honey. So, add the flour gradually and incorporate it into the batter carefully. The batter should not be too runny, but also not too stiff.

Step 5

Chop the walnuts into medium-sized pieces. Add the walnuts and mix everything with a spoon.

Step 6

Preheat the oven to 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake for 40 minutes. My oven is very powerful, so I baked it for 50 minutes at 320°F (320 degrees Fahrenheit). Keep an eye on the crust; the cake will rise and brown. At the end, you can check with a toothpick (or even just a fork. Insert it inside; it should not stick). Keep in mind that due to the bananas, the cake will be a bit 'moist' inside, and that’s how it should be. Once done, let it sit in the oven for about 10 minutes to cool slightly so it doesn't sink.
