Bavarian Cream with Berries
Ingredients
- Coconut Milk - 13 fl oz
- Corn Starch - 1.6 oz
- Sugar - 1.1 oz
- Vanilla salt - 1.1 oz
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Cardamom - a pinch
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh Berries - 14.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour the cornstarch into the coconut milk and mix well. Add sugar, vanilla, and cardamom.
Step 2
Place the saucepan with the milk over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. After thickening, cook for another 2–3 minutes. Pour into portioned molds or glasses. Cover with plastic wrap, cool, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Step 3
Place the berries, lemon juice, and powdered sugar in a pan and put it over heat. Keep it until the berries release their juice, and the sugar dissolves. The sauce should cool down.
Step 4
Unmold the Bavarian cream onto a plate, drizzle with the sauce, and garnish with fresh berries.
