- Beetroot - 1 piece
- Apple - 1 piece
- Cheshire Cheese - 3.5 oz
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Thyme - 0.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F.
Step 2
Roll out the pastry and place it in a baking dish. Prick it in several places with a fork. Sprinkle half of the grated cheese on top.
Step 3
Peel the beetroot and apple and slice them very thinly.
Step 4
Arrange the slices of apple and beetroot on the pastry, alternating them, and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with thyme.
Step 5
Bake for about 20 minutes until the pastry is cooked. Serve warm.
