Description
Belyashi with Yeast Dough
Ingredients
- Meat - 21.2 oz
- Onion - 2 heads
- Ground Black Pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - 2 teaspoons
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 11 oz
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Dry yeast - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Knead the yeast dough: mix flour, milk (or water), yeast, sugar, and salt, and knead thoroughly (the dough should pull away from your hands). Leave in a warm place for 2 hours.
Step 2
Grind the meat (using a coarse grinder), onion, add milk, salt, and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Cut the dough into buns, let them rest for 10–15 minutes, then roll them out into flatbreads (do not add flour, but grease with oil).
Step 4
Place the filling on the flatbreads. Fold the edges. Fry in hot oil (or deep fry), placing the open side down.
