Ingredients

  • Butter - 5.3 oz
  • Brown Sugar - 11.3 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
  • Baking Powder - 8.8 oz
  • Buttermilk - 5 fl oz
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh Berries - 5.3 oz
  • Apple - 2 pieces
  • Serviceberries - 5.3 oz
  • Powdered Sugar - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 356°F. Grease a 30x20 cm baking tray with butter and line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

Beat the softened butter with sugar using a mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually add the eggs, beating well. Add the flour and buttermilk and mix well again. Add the vanilla. Spread part of the mixture evenly on the baking tray in a layer about 5 mm thick.

Step 3

Peel, quarter, and slice the apples very thinly. Arrange them in an even layer on top of the batter. Spread the remaining batter over the apples, then add a layer of berries. Bake on the middle rack for about 40 minutes until cooked through.

Step 4

Cool in the tray for 30 minutes. Transfer and dust with powdered sugar. Cut into rectangles.
