Description
Berry Cake with Sour Cream Frosting
Ingredients
- Condensed Milk - 7.1 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 3 tablespoons
- 20% Sour Cream - 24.7 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Sugar - 13.1 oz
- Baking Powder - 0.2 oz
- Wheat Flour - 6.3 oz
- Frozen black currant puree - 5.3 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the batter, combine the condensed milk with the cocoa powder and 200 ml of sour cream. Beat the egg with 170 g of sugar and mix it with the resulting chocolate mixture. Sift the flour with the baking powder on top and mix with a mixer.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Pour the resulting batter into a parchment-lined baking pan and bake for 1 hour. Check for doneness using a thin wooden stick: if it comes out dry, the cake is ready to be removed from the oven.
Step 3
Allow the baked layer to cool, then cut it horizontally into 3 layers with a sharp knife or fishing line.
Step 4
Let the berries thaw slightly at room temperature. For the frosting, beat the remaining sour cream with 200 g of sugar using a mixer.
Step 5
Spread the sour cream frosting between the layers, sprinkling each with berries. Stack the layers on top of each other, cover the sides of the cake with frosting, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
