Berry Jelly with Tender Cake

Ingredients

  • Gelatin - 2½ tablespoons
  • Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
  • Sugar - 12.3 oz
  • Sour Cream - 15.9 oz
  • Activated Baking Soda - a pinch
  • Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
  • Vanillin - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh Berries - 10.6 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

First, soak the gelatin in cold water for 15 minutes. While it swells, we will prepare the cake.

Step 2

Take 3 eggs and 250 g of sugar, beat them together, add 100 g of sour cream, baking soda, and 250 g of flour. Mix everything and bake in a greased baking pan with vegetable oil. This will take about 20 minutes.

Step 3

For the jelly, whip 350 g of sour cream, 100 g of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanillin together. Add 300 g of berries and blend in a mixer until smooth. Add the melted gelatin (only after the cake has cooled!). Mix everything together, place the cake back in the pan, and pour the jelly over it. Put it in the freezer to set. If desired, you can decorate with the remaining berries.
