Description
Important: do not pour warm cherry juice over the pie — the base may become soggy!!!
Ingredients
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz
- Fructose - 3.5 oz
- Low-fat lactose-free milk - 5.3 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Vanillin - ¼ teaspoon
- Gelatin - 0.4 oz
- Fresh Berries - 17.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate cold butter and flour together until crumbly.
Step 2
Add sugar, salt, vanilla, cottage cheese, and knead the dough. If the dough sticks to your hands, you can add more flour.
Step 3
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 4
Prepare the filling. Wash the cherries and remove the pits. Place the cherries in a pot, add sugar, and set over low heat. The amount of sugar depends on the acidity of the cherries.
Step 5
Soak the gelatin for 10 minutes.
Step 6
When the cherries boil, turn off the heat and stir in the gelatin. Mix thoroughly until the gelatin is completely dissolved, and let the filling cool.
Step 7
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1 cm and evenly distribute it in a baking dish (24–26 cm). Prick with a fork. Bake the base in a preheated oven at 356°F for 15–20 minutes.
Step 8
Let the baked base cool.
Step 9
On the pie base, first place the berries, refrigerate for 5–10 minutes, then pour the juice over. The juice should be well cooled and start to thicken slightly. Refrigerate for 2 hours until fully set!
Step 10
When the jelly is set, the pie will be ready to serve!
