Berry Pie with Strawberries

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz
  • Butter - 3.5 oz
  • Whole egg - 1 piece
  • Powdered Sugar - 1.4 oz
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Strawberry - 8.8 oz
  • Grated Lemon Zest - ½ teaspoon
  • Chili jam - 4.2 oz
  • Chopped almonds - 0.7 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Mix flour, butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, a pinch of salt, and lemon zest to form a dough, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Step 2

Wash the strawberries in cool water, dry them, and slice them. Roll out the dough, line a baking dish (ideally round) with it, and create edges.

Step 3

Prick the dough with a fork, spread 1/3 of the strawberry jam, and layer the sliced strawberries on top. Bake for 25 minutes at 392°F.

Step 4

Mix the remaining jam with 0.5 tablespoons of water and bring to a boil. Remove the pie from the oven, brush it with the jam, and sprinkle with almonds.
