Biscotti with Nuts and Dried Fruits
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Baking Powder - ½ tablespoon
- Dried Apricots - 1.8 oz
- Dates - 1.8 oz
- Pistachios - 1.8 oz
- Chopped almonds - 1.8 oz
- Citrus Zest Mix - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour and mix it with sugar and baking powder. Gradually add lightly beaten eggs to the flour. Knead until you have a smooth and elastic dough, then add finely chopped dried apricots, dates, nuts, and zest.
Step 2
Shape the dough into two equal slightly flattened logs about 20 cm long. Transfer to greased baking sheets and bake in the oven at 356°F for 20–25 minutes.
Step 3
Cool on the baking sheets.
Step 4
Once cooled, slice the logs diagonally into about 10 pieces, each 1 cm thick. Place the slices back on the baking sheets and return to the oven for another 10–15 minutes, turning them once during baking.
Step 5
Allow the finished biscotti to cool on the baking sheets.
