Black and White Cheesecake with Strawberry Hearts
Ingredients
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 15.9 oz
- Vanilla salt - ½ teaspoon
- Liquid dark chocolate - 10.6 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Strawberry - 10 pieces
- Chocolate Shortcrust Pastry - 10.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla and beat with a mixer. Add the eggs and beat well again.
Step 2
Melt the chocolate in a water bath and cool to room temperature. Mix the chocolate with 1 cup of the cheese mixture.
Step 3
Place the pastry in a round baking pan and poke it in several places with a fork. Pour the chocolate mixture over the pastry and smooth it out. Carefully layer the white filling on top and smooth it out again.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Bake the pie for about 40 minutes until done. Cool and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.
Step 5
Before serving, cut all the strawberries in half lengthwise. Cut a small triangle out of each half so that it resembles a heart. Decorate the pie with strawberry hearts.
