Description
Recipe from a cookbook by Anna Johnson.
Ingredients
- Bananas - 1 piece
- Apple - 1 piece
- Sugar - 2.1 oz
- Water - 10 fl oz
- Milk - 7 fl oz
- Quinoa - 2.5 oz
- Cinnamon - 0 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the bananas and apples into small cubes.
Step 2
Melt the sugar in a heavy-bottomed pan until it turns caramel color, add the fruits, and stir while cooking until the caramel completely melts and the fruits caramelize.
Step 3
Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 4
Rinse the quinoa. Remember that during cooking, the grain increases about three times, so choose an appropriately sized pot.
Step 5
Pour 300 ml of water over the quinoa, bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and cook for about 15 minutes until the water is absorbed.
Step 6
Then leave covered for another 5 minutes, and then fluff with a fork. This will make the quinoa fluffier.
Step 7
Add milk to the quinoa, cover with a lid, and let it sit off the heat for another 5–10 minutes to absorb the milk.
Step 8
Serve in a bowl, garnish with apples and bananas, and sprinkle cinnamon on top.
