Bread Pudding with Orange Jam
Ingredients
- Brioche - 2 pieces
- Raisins - 7.1 oz
- Vanilla salt - 1 pod
- Liqueur - 4 tablespoons
- Whole egg - 10 pieces
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Milk - 17 fl oz
- Vanilla Ice Cream - to taste
- Powdered Sugar - 1.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 410°F.
Step 2
Soak the raisins in the liqueur.
Step 3
Prepare the custard: heat the milk with the vanilla pod. Whisk the 10 egg yolks with the sugar. Pour the milk into the egg mixture and heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Strain the custard and mix again.
Step 4
Slice the brioche into 1 cm thick slices. Spread with orange jam and cut into triangles. Drain the raisins in a sieve.
Step 5
Place the bread in a baking dish, distribute the raisins on top, and pour the custard over it.
Step 6
Put in the oven and bake for 20 – 30 minutes.
Step 7
Before serving, drizzle with flaming liqueur and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Step 8
Serve with ice cream.
