Bread with Olive Oil and Tomatoes
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Olive Oil - 3 fl oz
- Dry yeast - 0.2 oz
- Water - 10 fl oz
- Marinated cherries - 12 pieces
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ocean salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Combine the flour, salt, and yeast, and mix thoroughly.
Step 2
While continuing to stir, pour in the olive oil and warm water. Mix until the dough becomes elastic.
Step 3
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 2 hours.
Step 4
Grease a baking dish with oil. Divide the dough into two parts and roll out one part to fit the bottom of the dish.
Step 5
Place halved cherry tomatoes and minced garlic on top, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Roll out the second half of the dough and place it over the tomatoes and garlic. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 20 minutes.
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 428°F. Use your finger to make indentations all over the surface of the dough to connect the two halves and prevent excessive rising.
Step 8
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse sea salt. Bake for 30 minutes.
