- Wheat Flour - 1½ cups
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Ground dried cherries - ⅓ cup
- Chopped almonds - 1 cup
- Lavender flowers - 3 tablespoons
- Butter - 7.1 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1¾ cups
- Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
- Vanillin - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Grease a 20x20 cm (8x8 inch) square baking pan with butter.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, pitted cherries, chopped walnuts, and crushed dried lavender flowers.
Step 3
Soften the butter in the microwave, then beat it with a mixer, gradually adding all the cocoa powder. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla, and beat again.
Step 4
Combine the dry and wet ingredients and mix thoroughly until there are no lumps. Pour the batter into the baking pan.
Step 5
Bake for 35–40 minutes.
Step 6
Cool in the pan, remove, and dust with powdered sugar or cocoa powder.
