Description

Brownies with walnuts and dark chocolate

Ingredients

  • Baking Powder - 2 spoons
  • Liquid dark chocolate - 14.1 oz
  • Butter - 14.1 oz
  • Sugar - 17.6 oz
  • Chicken Egg - 6 pieces
  • Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
  • Walnuts - 10.6 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Break the chocolate (300 grams) into pieces, place it in a bowl, and set it over a water bath. Add the chopped butter to the chocolate. Melt the chocolate with the butter until smooth, stirring continuously.

Step 2

Add the sugar, mix well, and remove the pot from the water bath. If the sugar mixture is quite hot, let it cool slightly before adding the eggs to prevent them from curdling. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring until smooth after each addition.

Step 3

Sift the flour with the baking powder. Gradually add the flour mixture to the chocolate and egg mixture, and stir until combined.

Step 4

Chop the chocolate (100 grams) and nuts, add them to the dough, and mix well.

Step 5

Grease the baking pan with oil, line it with parchment paper, and then brush a thin layer of oil on top. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth it out.

Step 6

Bake the brownies in a preheated oven at 338°F for about 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. The key is not to overbake the brownies; the center should remain slightly moist. Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool, or even better, refrigerate them for 8–12 hours (or overnight).

Step 7

Cut the brownies into square pieces and serve with tea.
