Description
The cake turns out very crumbly. Carefully remove it from the mold.
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Kefir - 1½ cups
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Buckwheat Groats - 1½ cups
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Pitted Wild Apricots - to taste
- Pitted olives - 5 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with sugar.
Step 2
Pour in the kefir and mix.
Step 3
Add slightly melted butter. Mix well.
Step 4
Combine the flour with the baking powder, then add to the mixture. Knead the dough (it will be quite thick, though liquid enough to knead with a wooden spoon).
Step 5
Chop the dates (I had 8), and the prunes (I had 2 tablespoons). You can add almonds or any dried fruits you like. Add to the dough. Mix well.
Step 6
Transfer the dough to a greased baking pan and smooth it out.
Step 7
Bake in a preheated oven for 45–50 minutes at 356°F. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
