- Milk - 10 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 8.5 oz
- Ground Oats - 1.8 oz
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Ground dried cherries - 4.4 oz
- Pickled Apples - 1.8 oz
- Brown Sugar - 2.6 oz
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Honey - 3 tablespoons
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Ground Almonds - 3 tablespoons
- Chopped almonds - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour the oats into a bowl and cover them with milk, letting them soak for 30 minutes until they swell.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Grease a loaf pan (24x10 cm) with butter and dust with flour.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, sift the flour and baking powder, add the oats, lightly beaten egg, dried fruits (chop the apples), sugar, cinnamon, honey, and almonds. Mix everything well.
Step 4
Pour the batter into the pan, topping it with almond flakes. Bake for 45–50 minutes. You can check for doneness with a toothpick.
Step 5
Remove from the oven and let the cake cool slightly in the pan before transferring it to a serving plate.
