- Puff Pastry - 8.8 oz
- Cream - 8 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Grated Ginger Root - 0.2 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 0.5 oz
- Turmeric - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F. Roll out the pastry to fit a round baking dish. Place it in the dish, cover with parchment paper, and fill with beans or grains to prevent the pastry from rising during baking. Bake for 10-15 minutes, then remove the paper and grains and let it cool.
Step 2
Melt the cheese in a double boiler and add the cream. Mix well. Add the lightly beaten eggs, powdered sugar, ginger, and turmeric. Mix well and pour over the pastry. Bake for 30 minutes in the oven, reducing the temperature to 374°F, until the pie is covered with a light brown crust. Serve immediately.
