  • Wheat Flour - 2 cups
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
  • Butter - 3½ tablespoons
  • Vinegar essence - ½ teaspoon
  • Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
  • Baking Powder - 0.2 oz
  • Sour Cream - 1 jar
  • Candy "Korovka" - 12 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Break the eggs, separating the whites and yolks. Whisk the yolks with sugar until a white mass forms. Add sour cream and melted butter. Gradually add flour, mixing well. Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then fold them into the batter. Add baking soda, dissolved in vinegar, mix well, and add baking powder.

Step 2

Cut the "Korovka" candies into three pieces. Grease the muffin tins with butter, and start filling the molds (pour a little batter into the mold to cover the bottom, place a piece of candy, and then pour more batter on top). Do not fill the molds to the brim (the batter will rise significantly).

Step 3

Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 15–20 minutes until golden brown. Once the muffins are ready, wait for them to cool before removing them from the molds.
