Description

Attention! Do not wrap the apples in paper or napkins. Even after it hardens, the caramel remains sticky. The cap that drips down from the apple can be carefully removed with a sharp knife. Instead of (or along with) nuts, you can use shredded coconut, sesame seeds, cookie crumbs, etc.

Ingredients

  • Pickled Apples - 6 pieces
  • Milk - 1 fl oz
  • Creamy frosting - 14.1 oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
  • Nut Bread - 6 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Thoroughly wash the apples and chill them (it's best to put them in the refrigerator overnight).

Step 2

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it thoroughly with vegetable oil.

Step 3

Prepare 6 sticks for the popsicles. Remove the stems from the apples and insert a stick into each one.

Step 4

Pour the caramel candies into a deep microwave-safe bowl, add the milk, and microwave on medium power for 1 minute. After a minute, take it out and stir thoroughly. Microwave for another 30 seconds, take it out and stir again, then melt for another 30 seconds (total — 2 minutes). Remove the caramel from the microwave and let it cool slightly (!).

Step 5

Dip the apples one by one into the caramel, ensuring they are evenly coated, and place them stick-side up on the lined baking sheet.

Step 6

Place the nut crumbs in a deep bowl. When the caramel on the apples has set but is still sticky enough for the nuts to adhere, roll the apples in the nuts.

Step 7

Return to the baking sheet and leave until the caramel is completely hardened.
