- Bartlett Pear - 4 pieces
- Sugar - 2.6 oz
- Vanilla Ice Cream - to taste

Step 1
Cut the pears in half lengthwise and remove the core. Place the sugar on a plate.
Step 2
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 3
Press the pears cut side down into the sugar and place them in the skillet. Cook until caramelized and browned for 7–8 minutes.
Step 4
Add 120 ml of water, cover with a lid, and cook until tender for another 7–10 minutes, adding more water if necessary.
Step 5
If the syrup is too thin, let it reduce a bit more.
Step 6
Place the pears in dessert bowls and drizzle with syrup.
