Caramelized Pumpkin Pear Crumble
Ingredients
- Pears - 2 pieces
- Butter - 14 tablespoons
- Maple syrup - ½ cup
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root - 2 teaspoons
- Chestnut puree - 30 oz
- Wheat Flour - 1¼ cups
- Brown Sugar - ½ cup
- Chopped almonds - ½ cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the pears and remove the cores, then cut them into small cubes.
Step 2
In a skillet over medium heat, combine the pears, 4 tablespoons of butter, maple syrup, vanilla, and spices. Sauté for about 9-10 minutes until the pears are soft.
Step 3
Add the pumpkin puree and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Step 4
In a bowl, mix the remaining butter, flour, and brown sugar with your hands until the mixture resembles crumbs. Add the walnuts and mix well again.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 374°F.

Spread the pumpkin-pear mixture in a greased baking dish, sprinkle the flour and nut mixture on top, and bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown.
Step 7
Serve warm.
