- Light Molasses - 1 teaspoon
- Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon

Peel the sweet potato, cut it into thin slices, and soak in cold water for 5 minutes. Drain and dry well with a paper towel.

Fill a large skillet one-third full with oil and heat to 356°F. When a piece of bread is toasted in 30 seconds, carefully place the vegetables in the oil and cook for 5 minutes until golden brown. Remove the sweet potato from the oil and transfer to a paper towel.
Step 3
Mix the molasses with lemon juice and heat in a small saucepan. Place the sweet potato slices in a bowl and drizzle with the syrup, mixing well. Serve on plates and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
