Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients
- Sugar - 1½ cups
- Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Vegetable Oil - 7 fl oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder - 1½ teaspoons
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1½ teaspoons
- Turnips - 22 oz
- Hazelnut - 6 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 7.9 oz
- Carrot - 1 fl oz
- Vanillin - 1 teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar - 1½ cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Prepare 2 round cake pans, line them with parchment paper, and grease with butter.
Step 3
Sift the flour with baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with a mixer. Gradually add the sugar while continuing to beat. Slowly pour in the oil and mix thoroughly. Start adding the flour mixture, then add the grated carrots, and mix well.
Step 5
Divide the batter between the 2 pans and bake the layers for 25–30 minutes. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before removing from the pans. The layers must be completely cool before applying the frosting.
Step 6
In a mixing bowl, mix all the frosting ingredients at low speed until smooth. Spread the frosting between the layers and over the entire surface outside. For decoration, sprinkle with shredded coconut.
